Juventus are actively looking to sell goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny this summer, according to reports in the Italian media.
The Polish international is earning €7m a season (around £116,000 a week) at the Serie A club, and they are keen to free up their wage budget for AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma.
However, Juve are finding it hard to offload Szczesny, with no club in Italy able to afford his salary. It means a potential return to England is a possibility for the former Arsenal number one.
The Gunners are actually one of the clubs, along with Manchester United, who are tipped to make a move for the player if Bernd Leno were to depart the Emirates. The German has two years remaining on his current contract and could be sold for the right price if a new deal can’t be agreed.
Whether Szczesny would be seen as a good replacement, it is questionable. The 31-year-old has improved since moving to Italy but he has struggled for form this campaign.
