AC Milan “have moved” to sign Toulouse forward Amine Adli ahead of the likes of Arsenal, according to Tuttomercatoweb.com.

The Italian website claims the Gunners, Leicester, Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and Marseille have all been keeping tabs on the 21-year-old in recent months but the Rossoneri are now favourites to secure the player’s signature.

Adli is believed to have already agreed personal terms with the Serie A club, but there is still some negotiation needed over the Frenchman’s transfer fee, with Toulouse demanding €10m (£8.6m).

Currently, Milan are only prepared to pay €8m (£6.9m) so we shall see if their attempts to close the deal run into difficulties and whether Arsenal consider making a late bid.

Adli was playing in France’s second tier last season, but he did have an impressive campaign overall, scoring eight goals and contributing eight assists in 36 appearances. However, he could not stop Toulouse from losing in the promotion playoff which means they will be staying in Ligue Two.
