Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey was superb despite the Gunners falling to a late defeat against Manchester City on Saturday.
The Ghanaian has been much criticised since arriving at the Emirates in October last year, after some pretty poor displays, but he showed his critics what he is all about at the weekend.
Asked whether it was Partey‘s best performance in an Arsenal shirt, the majority of supporters on Twitter agreed:

I can't recall a better performance from Thomas Partey in an Arsenal shirt. He made Rodri look like Fred

Partey really stepped up to the plate against City. He broke up play and set up counter-attacks, as well as getting forward himself when he could.
He didn’t shirk his responsibilities when his side went down to ten men either and he was very unlucky to be on the losing side.
It is a shame then that Partey will now miss upcoming matches, with the 28-year-old going away with Ghana for the African Cup of Nations. Hopefully, he keeps up this level of form when he returns.
