Sadio Mane Makes Wenger’s Transfer List

Wenger will be looking to improve the attack of the squad for next season by bringing in Southampton’s Sadio Mane. According to Metro, the 22 year old left winger who was just signed from Salzburg back in September by the Saints, has grown immensely and has improved his game more than anyone expected. The Senegalese international who totals 21 Premier League appearances up until now, has settled well in the UK and has managed to adapt swiftly.

Arsenal have been missing a left winger for a while now. Podolski was a solution but was really being used out of position. Even though Wenger tried using Ozil and Oxlade-Chamberlain on that side, both proved a lot better playing down the middle of the pitch. Walcott could also be a solution but just like his previously mentioned teammates, feels better elsewhere on the field – as a right winger or a second striker.

Mane on the other hand has been playing predominantly on the left even since his days performing for FC Metz. The youngster who has scored 6 goals this season, is definitely a player to watch. Since coming to Southampton, he has suffered a calf injury probably due to the intensity of the Premier League so he may need to be encouraged to train harder to withstand the rigours of the League but overall he looks like quite a player.
