RVP Wants United Exit, Fancies Shock Arsenal Return!

The 30-year-old, Robin van Persie was disappointed to see Sir Alex Ferguson and his assistant Rene Meulensteen, who persuaded him to leave the Emirates in 2012, depart the Theatre of Dreams to be replaced by David Moyes and his staff.

The Dutchman has cut a sorry figure this year with United languishing in seventh position after collecting only 40 points in 24 league games. Although he has scored 9 league goals, his injury absence means that the reigning Premier League champions are likely to be without Champions League football next season.

There have been numerous unconfirmed reports regarding a rift between van Persie and Moyes, with the former not a fan of the latter’s training regime. If the Daily Mail is to be believed, then the Dutchman could make a shock return to Arsenal at the end of the season.

The report suggests that Moyes is planning a summer clear-out of major stars and if he can persuade Rooney to stay at the club, then perhaps van Persie could be on the move.

The report also states that van Persie would love to re-sign with the Gunners, although it is not sure whether Wenger would want him back. The Frenchman usually don’t sign players aged above 30 but could make an exception for his former striker, who scored 96 league goals in 194 appearances for the Gunners.
