Rosicky Uncertain Of His Future With Arsenal

Arsenal could lose one of their most experienced players after 33 year old Tomas Rosicky admitted to being disappointed with his status as a substitute. According to Metro, the midfielder passed on several offers from non-European countries just to continue playing for the Gunners. After signing a 2 year extension with the North Londoners, he spent half that time on the bench. With Ramsey, Wilshere and Ozil looking pretty good together, it is hard to believe Rosicky will become a team regular again unless a significant injury affects the Gunners’ squad.

The Czech international who has been playing for Arsenal since 2006 is closing in on his last months at the Emirates. It is very unlikely that he will receive an extension or that he will accept another offer from Wenger.

Rumors have it that Rosicky will leave Europe to join either MLS or a team from Qatar. Both options come with a lot of money and more importantly, with a guarantee that the midfielder will play on a regular basis.

In his 8 years spent at the Emirates, Rosicky has made 223 appearances in which he has scored 25 goals and managed 20 assists. That number should have been a lot higher but unfortunately, Dortmund’s former star had to deal with some of the most difficult injuries a footballer can come across. Right after transferring to Arsenal, he was obligated to spend a year and a half off the pitch. Since then he continuously struggled to become a team regular and failed to become the player Wenger thought Rosicky would become except for short bursts of form when he has been played regularly.
