Romano Reveals Arsenal Are Considering Re Signing 34.5M Rated Talent Who Left The Club Just Three Years Ago

Arsenal are keeping tabs on Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The Italian reporter claims that the Gunners are one of a number of teams who have sent scouts to watch the 20-year-old in action:

“Arsenal recently sent their scouts to monitor him, but there are also other Premier League giants well informed on the Valencia midfielder. Inter Milan are interested too, but the price tag could be too high for them in January. Of course, Musah could leave Valencia between January and June.”

Musah was actually a player at the Hale End academy before he opted to leave for Spain in 2019. He made his first-team debut for Valencia just a year after making the switch to the La Liga club and he has been a regular starter ever since.

The American international is believed to be valued between €30m (£26m) and €40m (£34.5m) so Arsenal will have to invest a substantial sum to secure his services.

Recruiting a new midfielder is reportedly on the agenda for manager Mikel Arteta but, up until now, it was thought that Palmeiras’ Danilo was the priority target.

The Brazilian is expected to be available for slightly less than Musah (around €25m) so we shall see who ends up being the Gunners’ preferred option.
