Romano Confirms That Arsenal Have Been Offered Chance To Sign 27M Rated La Liga Defender

Arsenal are one of three Premier League teams who have been offered Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilon, according to the Guardian‘s Fabrizio Romano.

The Spaniard has been linked with a move to the Gunners over the past few months, and Romano claims three London clubs in total have been given the chance to sign the Spaniard this summer:

“Reguilon has been offered to Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham. Many clubs are considering him because, in my opinion, he’s such a good player, he had such a good season with Sevilla. Napoli are also considering him, he will move from Real Madrid. But there are no talks to sign him at the moment.”

Other reports in Spain have also credited Manchester United with an interest in Reguilon, with Real Madrid expecting to sell the fullback for between €25m (£22m) and €30m (£27m).

You would have to say that, at this stage, the 23-year-old would not be a priority target for Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta but that may change before the transfer window closes.

Sead Kolasinac is reportedly keen on returning to Germany with both Bayer Leverkusen and Schalke keen on his services. If Hector Bellerin is also allowed to leave for Paris Saint-Germain, Ainsley Maitland-Niles would be utilised on the right instead of the left flank.

Competition for Kieran Tierney would, therefore, be needed so it may be wise not to rule out a move for Reguilon quite yet.
