Roma Prepared To Loan Arsenal Czech International In Bid To Land Ramsey

Arsenal are keen on recruiting Roma striker Patrick Schick in the January transfer window, according to reports in Italy.

The Czech Republic international has struggled for game time this season with just two league starts to his name, and the Giallorossi are said to be keen to loan out the forward.

The Gunners are looking for a replacement for Danny Welbeck, who looks to be set for a long spell on the sidelines after breaking his ankle against Sporting Lisbon on Thursday.

Roma are hoping that by loaning Schick to Arsenal, it could grease the wheels for their own bid for Aaron Ramsey.

The Welshman is out of contract at the end of the season, and while he could sign a pre-contract agreement with the Italian club in January, they are said to be prepared to make a transfer bid to head off competition from other top European clubs.

Juventus, AC Milan, Liverpool, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are all believed to be keen on signing Ramsey.
