Roma Look To Offer Long Term Arsenal Target In Attempt To Sign Mkhitaryan

Roma are struggling to match Arsenal’s valuation for Henrikh Mkhitaryan and will consider offering Cengiz Under in a swap deal, according to Leggo

The Italian publication say the Gunners have slapped an asking price of €20m (£17.4m) on the Armenian international, which the Giallorossi can’t afford.

Instead, Roma are weighing up two other potential offers. The first solution would be to propose another season-long loan but with an obligation to buy at the end of next season.

The other possibility is to use Under in the deal allowing the Turkish international to move in the opposite direction. However, with the winger being valued at around €30m (£26m), Arsenal would have to pay €10m (£8.7m) and Mkhitaryan for the transfer to go ahead

Whether Arsenal would be interested in such a deal, it seems unlikely. The London club have been linked with the 22-year-old in the past, but his struggles with injuries mean he has had a tough third season in Italy.
