Arsenal captain Laurent Koscielny put in an excellent display in the 1-0 win against Napoli last night.
The Frenchman was integral to the Gunners keeping a third consecutive clean sheet in all competitions at the Stadio San Paolo, which helped to secure passage into the Europa League semi-finals.
Fans can’t believe how well Koscielny is playing despite having spent most of the last year out with an Achilles injury:
He has been fantastic! Rolling back the years. You’d never even think he had any injury really, never mind one so bad

Hopefully he can help us do this season what we should of done last season. Legend

Koscielny made more tackles and recoveries than the entire Napoli team tonight. Bossing it at 34 years old ??

We’ve conceded 1 goal in the last 7 games.
Statue-worthy stuff from Laurent Koscielny. What a player. pic.twitter.com/vyzpH0qxyk

What I would do to see Koscielny lift that Europa league trophy ?????

Not enough is being said about Koscielny man. The guy snapped his achilles tendon, sidelined for 8 months, and has come back producing some of his best performances in an Arsenal shirt. Man’s 33 year old with a broken body and carrying our defence through games. Respect x3 pic.twitter.com/Ez9J0quvrk

I don’t get how but Koscielny is still really, really good and easily our best defender. If he can somehow play all the important games from now until the end I’m sure we’ll reach CL one way or another.

I swear man would give his life for the club. They need to win a trophy for Kos if not the fans

Isn’t he our best CB since Adams? I mean come on name me a better one? Maybe between him ans sol!

Arsenal’s defence, in general, has started to look more solid in recent weeks with six shutouts in the last seven games. The only goal that was conceded during that period was in the 1-0 defeat to Everton.
The improvement defensively couldn’t have come at a better time for Unai Emery‘s side and with away games against Wolves, Leicester and Burnley, in addition to a trip to Valencia, they will certainly need to continue keeping things tight at the back.
If they can, though, both a top-four finish and a place in the Europa League final could be in the offing.
