Right Time To Leave Arsenal – Sagna

Bacary Sagna brought down the curtains on a seven year spell with Arsenal after deciding against penning a new deal at the club. Instead, he chose to join Premier League champions Manchester City on a three-year-deal in June.

The Frenchman just won the FA Cup during his seven year stint at Arsenal and claimed he needed to ‘boost his career’ by deciding to join City. The 31-year-old also said it was the right time to leave the Gunners, who travel to the Etihad Stadium next weekend in what promises to be a mouth-watering clash between the two heavyweights.

According to Metro, he said, “This was the right time for me to leave Arsenal. I wanted to see somewhere new and boost my career. I am now part of a much deeper squad at City, where it’s even harder for me to win a first-team place. But I feel more powerful than ever.”
