Representatives Of Ex Bayern Manager ‘Have Been In Contact’ With Arsenal

The representatives of former Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac “have been in contact” with Arsenal to register the Croatian’s interest in the vacant manager’s job, according to Goal.com.

There has been growing speculation about the 48-year-old after he was spotted at Everton’s game against Chelsea at the weekend, with some tipping him to take over at Goodison Park.

However, it is believed Kovac is on a fact-finding mission and is just in the UK to take in a few Premier League games following his sacking by Bayern earlier this season.

But, it does appear he would be open to making a move to the Emirates. The Croatian has won the Bundesliga title with Bayern, as well as the German Cup twice at two different clubs.

Kovac isn’t currently believed to be a frontrunner for the job, with the bookies currently having Manchester City coach Mikel Arteta as the leading candidate to succeed Unai Emery.
