REPORT: TWO Spanish Clubs ‘Intend To Bid’ For Arsenal Ace As Transfer Battle Heats Up

Sevilla and Atletico Madrid both “intend to bid” for Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette, according to La Razon.

The Spanish website claims that the two La Liga clubs could sign up the Frenchman on a pre-contract agreement in January, but competition from Juventus and AC Milan may force them into paying a fee for the striker when the transfer window reopens.

Lacazette has no intention of extending his contract at the Emirates so Arsenal would welcome any bids in the New Year to prevent him from leaving for nothing next summer.

It is believed that Sevilla could have an “advantage” in negotiations as the Gunners are reportedly interested in Youssef En-Nesyri, but how that would play out in practice, it is difficult to say.

If the Spanish side do suggest a part-exchange offer, including Lacazette and En-Nesyri, that could be the best solution for all parties. However, the Frenchman may have a preference for another club, and that would certainly complicate matters.
