REPORT: Talks To Sign 17M Rated Brazilian Midfield Maestro Have ‘Restarted’ With Arsenal ‘Ready To Invest’

Arsenal have “restarted” discussions with Juventus about signing Arthur, according to Tuttomercatoweb.com.

The website claims that their sources have confirmed that the Gunners are now “ready to invest” in signing the Brazilian international on a permanent basis.

After having a loan offer for Arthur rejected during the January transfer window, Mikel Arteta’s side are “mindful” of the fact that Juve are keen to cut all ties with the midfielder.

TMW believe that the 25-year-old has a market value of around €20m (£17m) to €30m (£25.4m) and the fee is unlikely to be a major stumbling block in negotiations.

However, Juventus’s interest in Gabriel could cause some problems. The Serie A club’s sporting director Federico Cherubini would also want to talk about the Gunners defender moving in the other direction, which may complicate matters. We shall have to wait and see how discussions progress between the two clubs in the coming days.
