Real Madrid and Manchester City are both “monitoring” Arsenal’s contract negotiations with Bukayo Saka, according to 90min.com.
The Spanish champions are said to be keeping a close eye on the winger’s situation, with talks over a new deal set to be reaching a critical stage.
Saka is believed to have begun discussions with the Gunners over the extension back in February but 90min.com now claim that technical director Edu is hopeful that the player will put pen to paper before the New Year.
Last month, Saka expressed confidence that an agreement would be reached, and it appears that negotiations are progressing smoothly at the moment.
Saka has had a rather quiet start to the season by his standards, although he did look impressive in his last league appearance, despite the fact that Arsenal ended up on the losing side against Manchester United. He will be keen to kick on in upcoming games to show his employers that he is deserving of a bumper new contract.
