REPORT: Arsenal Weigh Up Move For 35 Cap Spanish Ace Whose ‘Days Are Numbered’ At Current Team

Arsenal are considering whether to make an approach for Barcelona forward Ferran Torres, according to Fichajes.net.

The Spanish website claims the 22-year-old has already “lost” the confidence of his manager Xavi, despite only moving to Camp Nou from Manchester City for €55m last January.

It is believed that Torres’s “days are numbered” at Barca, with the Gunners, Tottenham and AC Milan thought to be his three main suitors ahead of the next transfer window.

Torres’s ability to play right across the front three would make him an attractive option for manager Mikel Arteta. Arsenal were looking to recruit a winger but the injury sustained by Gabriel Jesus means they have switched focus to signing a number nine.

With Torres, the London club would be solving two problems at once. The Spaniard, who has been capped 35 times by his country, would certainly be a good addition if the Gunners can secure his services next month.
