REPORT: Arsenal Set To Make ‘First Offer’ For Napoli Ace In ‘The Coming Days’

Arsenal are among the “main suitors” for Napoli winger Hirving Lozano, according to Deportrece.com.

The Mexican website claims that the 26-year-old will leave Italy this summer, and the Gunners are in the frame to secure the player’s signature.

It is believed that Mikel Arteta’s side are likely to “explore the possibility” of recruiting Lozano by making their “first offer” for the forward in “the coming days”.

Deportrece claim that there are, at least, three other teams interested in signing him, including Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and Valencia. They are, however, keen to point out that “nothing has been confirmed” in terms of whether these three Spanish clubs will make bids for the Mexican international.

It’s possible that Lozano is being lined up as a potential alternative to Raphinha but we shall see if this report is backed up by other sources. The Napoli player did not have the most productive of seasons for his club, scoring just six goals in 37 appearances; a stark contrast to the 2020/21 campaign when he bagged 14.
