Arsenal sent scouts to see Roma winger Cengiz Under in action against Inter Milan on Sunday, according to reports in Italy.
The Turkish starlet has been linked with a move to the Gunners over the past couple of months, with Tottenham, Manchester United, Manchester City and Barcelona also said to be keeping tabs on the player.
Representatives from Arsenal would have been impressed by what they saw at the weekend with Under getting on the scoresheet in the 2-2 draw.
Previous reports have suggested that Roma sporting director Monchi would only consider selling the 21-year-old for €50m (£44.7m).
The Turkish international was signed from Istanbul Basaksehir for €13.4m just eighteen months ago, but he is building a reputation after scoring 12 goals and providing seven assists in just 49 games for the Serie A club.
It is believed, however, that Roma would only want to let the player go at the end of the season. Whether Arsenal will be happy to wait, we shall have to wait and see.
