AC Milan fullback Ricardo Rodriguez is on Arsenal’s radar, according to reports in the Italian media.

The Swiss defender has been scouted by the Gunners following the recommendation of his international teammate Granit Xhaka.

Arsenal are not the only team in for Rodriguez, though, with Bundesliga clubs Schalke and RB Leipzig, as well as Fiorentina, reportedly keen on the 26-year-old.

The left back’s time at the San Siro appears to be coming to an end with the Rossoneri looking at signing a replacement for him.

Milan’s new technical director Paolo Maldini is believed to be tracking Real Madrid defender Theo Hernandez, and if the Frenchman does join the Serie A side, Rodriguez’s days could be numbered.

It’s likely that the Swiss international is an alternative if Arsenal’s move for Celtic’s Kieran Tierney doesn’t work out. The London club are said to have had at least one bid rejected for the 22-year-old already.
