REPORT: Arsenal Ready To Offload Talisman For Just £25m In January

Arsenal are considering selling playmaker Mesut Ozil for just £25m in the January transfer window, according to reports in the English media.

The German is currently out injured with a back problem but manager Unai Emery is said to be unhappy with the player’s attitude. The Gunners boss benched the midfielder against Bournemouth at the end of November prior to his injury.

It is believed that a move to Italy is the most likely possibility with it being reported that Ozil’s brother, Mutlu, will fly out to meet with potentially interested clubs this week.

Inter Milan have been tipped as favourites for the 30-year-old’s signature, although there is a hope from the player’s entourage that Juventus could get involved in the bidding as well.

The Bianconeri have also been linked with Ozil’s teammate Aaron Ramsey but it is believed that the Serie A league leader’s interest may only be in view to a switch at the end of the season.

Arsenal are said to want a January sale to free up funds for other players with centre-backs and forwards having been linked with a move to the Emirates in recent weeks.
