Arsenal are lining up a €30m (£26.7m) offer for Roma winger Cengiz Under, according to reports in Italy.
Both the Gunners and London rivals Tottenham are said to have made contact with the Giallorossi about the Turkish international in recent weeks, but Unai Emery’s side appear to be the keenest on securing the midfielder’s services.
Roma are reportedly demanding between €35m and €40m for Under but it is believed a deal can be done with the Serie A side prepared to sell up this summer.
Emery has apparently made the 21-year-old one of his priority signings as he looks to strengthen his options in wide areas.
Under made 33 appearances in all competitions last campaign, scoring six goals and contributing 11 assists.
The winger has been in the headlines in recent days following Turkey’s surprise 2-0 win against France on Saturday. He scored the second goal before half-time to help secure victory in the Euro 2020 qualifier.
