REPORT: Arsenal Offer First Team Player To Roma In A Bid To Raise Funds For Arteta

Arsenal have offered right-back Hector Bellerin to Roma, according to Il Romanista. The Italian website claims that the Spaniard has been made available for transfer this summer and could even be offloaded on loan.

The Gunners are reportedly looking at numerous ways to raise funds so head coach Mikel Arteta can revamp his squad before the new season.

Bellerin did start the FA Cup final against Chelsea and looks to be part of the manager’s first-team plans but it seems the fullback could well be sacrificed as the London club make some difficult decisions to balance the books.

55 employees could be made redundant, including the club’s famed head scout Francis Cagigao, and with very little room for manoeuvre in terms of the transfer budget, there could be quite a few surprising names on the transfer list.

Arsenal are also believed to be open to offers for Alexandre Lacazette, Sokratis and Matteo Guendouzi while Mesut Ozil will be sold if a buyer can be found,
