REPORT: Arsenal Midfielder Has Asked To Leave After Arteta Snub

Arsenal midfielder Dani Ceballos has asked Real Madrid to find him another loan move, according to Cadena SER. The Spanish radio station reports the 23-year-old is unhappy about his playing time under head coach Mikel Arteta.

The Spaniard has yet to play a single minute under the new Gunners boss following a spell out with a hamstring injury, but he has been fit for a few weeks and Arteta has yet to call upon him to play.

This has led to Ceballos reportedly contacting Real regarding a recall and a change of clubs. The midfielder’s main reason for going out on loan in the first place was to find regular first-team football so he could be in contention for Spain’s Euro 2020 squad.

With that place now at risk, the Spanish international is not wasting any time, knowing he needs to be playing regularly in the second half of the season to have any chance of playing in the tournament in the summer.

Ceballos raised concerns about his future in an Instagram post to Hector Bellerin yesterday and all the signs at the moment are pointing to the Spaniard returning to Spain before the January transfer window closes.
