REPORT: Arsenal Make ‘Crazy’ 17M Offer For Turkish Teenager Who Was Signed For Free Just 8 Months Ago

Arsenal are weighing up a “crazy offer” for Eintracht Frankfurt forward Ali Akman, according to Star TV. The network report that the Gunners will make a bid of around €20m (£17m) for the 19-year-old.

The player is currently on loan at Eredivisie side NEC Nijmegen, having scored four goals in 11 appearances so far this season. He originally joined Frankfurt on a free transfer back in March.

Star TV report that Arsenal are going to sit down with Frankfurt to discuss a deal for Akman, who has also attracted interest from Chelsea and Manchester City in the past.

However, Frankfurt are currently not interested in selling the Turkish Under 21 international, with the teenager having yet to play a competitive game for his parent club.

Whether there is any substance to this story, we shall have to wait and see. Akman is undoubtedly a promising young player but the Turkish media are notoriously unreliable.
