Arsenal have ended talks with Lyon about signing Houssem Aouar, according to Le10 Sport.
The French magazine, which has a questionable reputation when it comes to reliability, claims that the Gunners will not make a second offer for the France international, after initially tabling a bid below €20m (£17m).
Lyon are said to be looking for around €25m (£21.5m) for Aouar, and it is believed that the 22-year-old does have other suitors, with the likes of Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester United also reportedly interested.
Le10 Sport claim Spurs are the closest to making a formal approach out of those three teams so we shall see if Arsenal do come back to the table if their North London rivals make their move.
Mikel Arteta’s side are also considering a number of other midfield options, with Leicester’s James Maddison, Wolves’ Ruben Neves and Real Betis’ Guido Rodriguez all thought to be on the club’s radar.
