Loic Remy arrived in English football from the French league when he joined Queens Park Rangers last season. Though he could not help his team avoid a dreadful relegation, he had a commendable campaign on a personal level. His exploits last season earned him a loan move to Newcastle United, where he is currently plying his trade.

As he nears the end of his tenure at Tyneside, rumors surrounding the French international are beginning to gather pace. It is reported that Tottenham are interested in signing him ahead of next season. Rumor has it that Spurs are unhappy with Roberto Soldado, who they splashed £26 million on and are now evaluating replacements.

Their search has led them to Remy, however Metro believe that they are set to be disappointed in their chase as the 27-year old is understood to be keen to join Arsenal instead, and will jump at the opportunity to play for the same club his idol, Thierry Henry played for. As the report states, a source close to the player revealed exactly this as it said, “If Arsenal want him that’s where he will go. Where else would a big fan of [former Gunners striker] Thierry Henry want to go?”

So it seems that Newcastle are not a consideration for Remy and the striker wants no part of Tottenham either so apparently if this “source” is to be believed then he really only has eyes for the Red half of North London .

Arsenal are heavily expected to sign a striker in the summer to bolster their front line, and with Remy so eager to join them, could Arsene Wenger be thinking about going for him? We think it would be a great move- proven Premier League credentials, just coming into his prime and will only get better by playing with the likes of Ramsey, Cazorla, Wilshere and Ozil, not to mention the Ox!
