Remy Closer To Arsenal Than Ever

Remy Closer To Arsenal Than Ever

Arsenal have been repeatedly linked to QPR’s Loic Remy. The Frenchman who managed some decent performances while in Brazil, is closer to Arsenal than ever. With the Gunners ready to match his £8million buy-out clause, it is only a matter of time until the forward makes his way to the Emirates.

He is likely going to be Wenger’s first transfer this summer, as the North Londoners have yet to make any moves on the transfer market. Even though Remy failed to remind fans how great his season was while playing for France, he is still a great transfer to make. While at Newcastle, the Frenchman made 24 appearances in which he scored 14 goals. The 27 year old has a lot of European experience after playing for Lyon and Marseille. He is also well acquainted to Premier League football which means he will be ready to start playing in the next couple of weeks. The striker seems the safe choice considering Wenger’s other alternatives. He has been monitored by the Gunners for a while now and he has proved capable of handling the rigors of English football.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal’s transfer wanted-list includes three other strikers. Alvaro Morata, Mandzukic and Balotelli are the ones who could take Remy’s place next to Giroud. Remy does have an advantage though, which might make Wenger pay up as soon as the Frenchman comes back from Brazil – he is more affordable than the others and he has proven Premier League experience which only Balotelli has of the other options.
