Arsenal are targeting a move for Real Valladolid right-back Ivan Fresneda, according to The Telegraph reporter Sam Dean.
The journalist, who is usually pretty reliable, says the Gunners “have serious interest” in the teenager who could be sold by Vallodolid during the January transfer window:
Arsenal have joined the race for Real Valladolid right-back Ivan Fresneda and have serious interest in the teenager. Lots of other clubs are in for Fresneda, including Newcastle. #AFC monitoring situation closely.https://t.co/orRRtCSqka

Fresneda was originally linked with a move to the Emirates last month, with the likes of Liverpool, Everton, Newcastle, Leeds, Brentford, Fulham, Southampton and Wolves also being mentioned as potential suitors at the time.
It is believed that the Spaniard has a release clause of around €30m (£26.6m), but Dean claims the fullback may be available for a fee in the region of £10m to £15m.
At the moment, Arsenal are thought to be more likely to table a bid for Fresneda next summer but they may not want to wait too long. The 18-year-old’s buyout fee will reportedly rise to €45m (£40m) if he plays 22 senior games. He has currently made 12 appearances for Valladolid.
