Real Madrid vs Arsenal Preview: Injury News, TV Streaming Details, And Betting Odds

Arsenal make the trip to the Bernabeu this week as they hope to secure their spot in the Champions League semi-finals.

The Gunners are 3-0 up in the tie after a historic first leg at the Emirates when Declan Rice netted two superb free kicks to hand Mikel Arteta’s side a huge advantage heading to Madrid.

They come off a 1-1 draw against Brentford at the weekend, which all but left the Premier League title race dead and buried, with Liverpool holding a 13-point lead.

Arsenal could be without eight players for the game on Wednesday with Thomas Partey, Jorginho, Ben White and Riccardo Calafiori all doubts. Kai Havertz, Gabriel, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Gabriel Jesus have all been ruled out.

Whereas Real Madrid could be missing four players due to injuries as Andriy Lunin is a doubt and Ferland Mendy, Eder Militao and Dani Carvajal are all out. Eduardo Camavinga is suspended after being sent off in the first leg, but Kylian Mbappe will be available, despite receiving a red card over the weekend in La Liga.

Madrid backed as heavy favourites for second leg

Despite the fact that Arsenal completely outclassed Real Madrid during the first leg, and that reports have suggested a training ground bust-up between Jude Bellingham and Antonio Rudiger, Madrid are the favourites to win on Wednesday.

According to Oddschecker, Madrid are 8/11 favourites to win the game, giving them a 57% chance of victory. Meanwhile Arsenal are backed at odds of 15/4 (21%). A draw is backed at 7/2 (22%).

We predict a 1-1 draw in which Arsenal are able to hold off the attacking threat of Madrid and book their spot against PSG or Aston Villa in the semi-finals.
