Jorginho made a shock move from Chelsea to fellow London club Arsenal on transfer deadline day. At 31, the Italian metronome is past his best, but is still a very reliable Premier League player.
His debut was something of a misstep, as he took Thomas Partey’s position for Arsenal’s 1-0 away defeat against lowly Everton. Since then, he’s looked like a much better player.
Jorginho is a brilliant passer with solid defensive instincts – while he can sometimes struggle to keep up with a fast-paced game, he’s proving to be an effective presence in front of the Gunners’ back line.
