Arsenal put in a great performance against Cardiff and maintained their 4 point lead over Chelsea. Liverpool lost away at Hull City and are now 7 points behind the Gunners. Wenger’s team looked great especially through the middle and onwards. Ramsey scored twice and Ozil managed two incredible assists just after fans were starting to worry he is losing pace.
Even if the German was great, Ramsey was even better. He became the team’s top scorer and is now third in the Premier League standings with 8 goals and 13 in all competitions. His form has been constantly improving since the start of the season. The Welshman showed incredible character after a poor 2012-2013 season in which Wenger came pretty close to letting him leave because of his precarious form. Fortunately for both him and Arsenal, the 22 year old came back stronger than ever and is now probably the best midfielder in the Premier League.
After his 2 goals against his former team, Ramsey was praised by Wenger who sees a bright future for the young Welsh international. According to Metro, the Frenchman is proud of how much his player has grown since coming to the Emirates. He moved to the North London Club in 2008 and is now closing in to his 120th appearance.
Ramsey showed a lot of respect for the club that raised him as a footballer. Even if he scored twice and helped Arsenal win three important points for the Premier League battle, he never celebrated.
