The Gunners are widely believed to be interested in completing a move for Italian striker Balotelli after this summer’s World Cup in Brazil. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is ready to bid in the region of £27 million to land his number one transfer target this summer.
A report in the Express reveals that Puma signed a long-term sponsorship with the London club last season and reports emanating from England have suggested that the footwear giants are encouraging Arsenal to complete a deal before July 10 for Balotelli.
This has added credence to reports that Wenger is seriously interested in Balotelli and a move could well be on the cards. The striker has grown frustrated in Italy and wants to re-join the Premier League with Milan ready to offload the 23-year-old to reduce their wage bill.
Arsenal will need to step up their negotiations in order for Balotelli to sign for the Gunners and play a prominent role in unveiling the new Puma kit of the Arsenal.
