Presence Of Buyout Clause Means Arteta’s Pursuit Of Fulham Star Just Got A Lot Easier

Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo has a buyout clause in his contract, according to The Athletic. The website claim that the 23-year-old is being targeted by Arsenal and Newcastle.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is said to be a big fan of the centre-back, having worked with the player during his time at Manchester City.

Adarabioyo only moved away from the Etihad Stadium to Craven Cottage on a permanent basis in October, with Fulham paying an initial £1.5m for the former England Under 21 international.

It is not known how low his release clause is but it’s likely one of the main reasons why Arsenal are interested in the player, given that it has been reported that the London club are working on a limited budget.

The Gunners have also been linked with one of Adarabioyo’s teammates, Joachim Andersen, in recent days but the Dane is expected to return to his parent club Lyon, who are likely to demand at least £20m for the defender.
