Arsenal kept the pressure on rivals Manchester City and Liverpool with a win against Southampton on Saturday. However, their title rivals both won too.
Manchester City came away with a 3-2 win over Fulham whereas Liverpool beat Crystal Palace 1-0 meaning that the Reds remain on top of the table heading into the international break.
It was a bad day for Arsenal’s North London rivals Spurs who lost 3-2 to Brighton after a late Danny Welbeck winner gave the Seagulls all three points.
Brentford had a good day netting five against Wolves, meanwhile, Manchester United and Aston Villa were left frustrated after a 0-0 draw at Villa Park.
