0% chance: Wolves, Burnley, Leeds, Nottingham Forest, West Ham
Firstly, bottom of the league Wolves are joined by Burnley, Leeds, Forest and West Ham as all the teams which Opta believes have no chance to win the Premier League title. Three of the five teams have all seen managerial changes so far this season.
West Ham appointed Nuno Espirito Santo to replace Graham Potter, Forest appointed Sean Dyche to replace Nuno and later Ange Postecoglou, and Wolves recently sacked Vitor Periera.
0.01% chance: Everton and Sunderland
Sunderland have been the surprise package so far in the Premier League this season, as they are currently sat fourth in the league after 10 matches. Everton have been solid under David Moyes, but not spectacular.
The Supercomputer doesn’t think it is impossible for these two to win the league, but it may as well have done predicting 0.01%.
0.02% – 0.07% chance: Brentford and Fulham
Brentford and Fulham are ranked slightly higher than the previous, despite the latter having a very slow and lacklustre start to the season. Brentford have played some good stuff under Keith Andrews, and it was enough to put them above Sunderland, Everton and Fulham.
0.26% – 0.34% chance : Newcastle, Man United, Spurs and Brighton
It is somewhat surprising to see Newcastle next up, as the Magpies managed to finish fourth in the Premier League last season. However, they are behind Man United and Tottenham, both of whom have seen big improvements since last year.
Brighton are the big surprise, having been ranked above the previous three, although with a free-scoring Danny Welbeck, who is to blame the Supercomputer for putting Brighton up here.
