Podolski’s Recovery Almost Complete

Podolski’s Recovery Almost Complete

Arsenal have had some trouble dealing with injuries over the past year. Many of their important players have been side-lined because of serious problems that prevented them from performing. The beginning of the 2013-2014 season was no different from last season’s finish. Even so, the Gunners managed to have an amazing streak that currently places them on the top spot of the Premier League standings. The great news is that each and every one of those footballers are starting to recover.

Wenger will be very happy to have Lukas Podolski back soon after a two month recovery period. The German international suffered a hamstring injury during the Champions League qualifiers and has been out since then. According to Metro, Cologne’s former forward will be ready to play in 10 days or so.

Podolski looks to be in great shape according to his Instagram account on which he posted a picture of him to prove to fans he is fit and ready to return. Hopefully he will be able to continue his performances from back when he had no hamstring problems. The 28 year old scored against Fulham just before the Champions League qualifiers.

His return could not have come at a better time. Arsenal are going to go through a decisive series of games at the end of the month that could influence the outcome of the entire season. Because the Gunners are involved in the race to win two domestic competitions and also have to face the Champions League challenge Podolski will surely make his way back right away. Even if Giroud has shown great form, it is still hard for the Frenchman to maintain the same level in all three competitions. In order to get the most out of every game, Wenger decided to use a rotation system which until today has proven quite efficient.

Arsenal also await Cazorla, Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Sanogo’s returns who are expected to be fit after the international break which will end on the 15th of October.
