Petit Gives His Verdict On Whether Arsenal Will Triumph Against Manchester United

Former Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Petit believes his former club have a good chance of beating Manchester United at Old Trafford tomorrow night.

The Frenchman says that the home side are unrecognisable compared to previous United teams, and he believes the Gunners have the pace to exploit their opponent’s defence:

“There will be open spaces behind the United backline and with the speed of Arsenal’s forwards, they’ll get chances. But they need to show defensive resilience to allow for that to happen. Arsenal have a good chance to win.”

Arsenal won’t have a better opportunity to beat United away from home. The Red Devils’ front line has been decimated by injuries and they could also be without key player Paul Pogba.

Gunners boss Unai Emery, meanwhile, has an almost fully fit squad to choose from, with the exception of Alexandre Lacazette, and he could give summer signing Kieran Tierney his first league start of the season.

After three wins in a row in all competitions, Arsenal should have their tails up heading into the clash, which is in stark contrast to United who’ve struggled for form in recent games.
