Pepe, Ceballos And Lacazette To Start, Mkhitaryan, Nelson And Xhaka Out: Arsenal’s Predicted XI To Face Burnley

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette was on the bench against Newcastle, and he should be ready to return to the starting line up for the game against Burnley tomorrow afternoon.

Reiss Nelson is the likeliest player to make way for the French striker despite the 19-year-old putting in a decent performance in the 1-0 win at St James’ Park.

Granit Xhaka is fighting a fitness battle ahead of tomorrow’s game, but as manager Unai Emery has a number of central midfielders at his disposal, he is unlikely to risk the Swiss international.

Dani Ceballos or Lucas Torreira could come in for Xhaka, but with the Gunners playing at home, you would expect the Spaniard to be given his full competitive debut to provide some creativity.

Nicolas Pepe could also get his first start. The Ivorian international has had to wait for his chance after building up his fitness, but he could be selected ahead of Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Emery has confirmed that both Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac are ready to return to action, but it’s likely that neither will start tomorrow. They could be named on the bench, though.

The only other selection dilemma will be over David Luiz. Calum Chambers and Sokratis played well last week, and Emery may feel the pair are deserving of another chance in the centre of defence.

Arsenal’s Predicted XI To Face Burnley:

Leno, Maitland-Niles, Chambers, Sokratis, Monreal, Ceballos, Guendouzi, Willock, Pepe, Lacazette, Aubameyang
