Arsenal are weighing up a potential bid for Sassuolo right-winger Domenico Berardi, according to SassuoloNews.net.
The Italian website claims that the Italian, who has 24 caps for his country, is being considered by the Gunners as a potential target to strengthen their options in wide areas.
They suggest that Sassuolo will have to “pay attention to” a “possible” approach for Berardi from Mikel Arteta’s side before the transfer window closes.
After losing out on Raphinha, it is not believed that Arsenal have settled on their main alternative to the Brazilian yet, but it seems Berardi’s name is in the mix.
The 27-year-old is thought to be keen on leaving Sassuolo, a club where he has spent the majority of his career. He has an outstanding record in Serie A, having scored 101 goals and provided 73 assists in 271 appearances. It remains to be seen, though, whether the Gunners will step up their interest in the player.
