Paul Merson Predicts The Result As Arsenal Face Brighton

Paul Merson is confident that Arsenal can make it four league wins in a row when they take on Brighton at the Amex tomorrow evening.

The Sky Sports pundit was delighted with the Gunners’ performance in the North London derby and, while he is still concerned by their inconsistency, he feels they should have enough to overcome the Seagulls, who struggled against Crystal Palace last time out:

“I wouldn’t be surprised if they failed to record a positive result, but Brighton were really fortunate against Crystal Palace and will likely get beat if Arsenal continue to play like they have been in the past few weeks.”

Merson has gone with a 2-1 victory for his former club, which seems like a very sensible prediction, considering Arsenal’s excellent form heading into Saturday’s game.

It won’t be an easy match as Brighton have already beaten Leicester at home this season. Everton did, though, get the three points when they made the trip to the south coast in August.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta will want to see the same drive and desire to get the victory as he saw against Tottenham, and if they can reproduce that performance, they should be on the winning side.
