Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson expects Arsenal to secure a relatively comfortable win when they face Brentford this weekend.

The Bees do possess the talents of the in-form Ivan Toney, who troubled them in the corresponding fixture when they lost last year. However, Merson is more confident that this Gunners team will get a result:

“I think Arsenal will get all three points. It will be a tough game, but the Gunners have been good this season and will look to return to winning ways after losing 3-1 to Manchester United.”

Merson has gone with a 2-0 victory for Arsenal, which is a very confident prediction, considering Brentford have not lost at home so far this campaign.

Thomas Frank’s side do have plenty of weapons to worry the Gunners. In addition to Toney, Bryan Mbeumo, Christian Norgaard, Vitaly Janelt, Mathias Jenson, Josh Dasvila, Yoanne Wissa and Ben Mee have contributed goals in the opening weeks of the season.

However, despite the loss to Manchester United, Arsenal are in the sort of form to secure the win they need. Whether it will be as straightforward as Merson’s scoreline suggests, though, we shall have to wait and see.
