A lot of the talk surrounding Arsenal’s business in the final few days of the transfer window will likely centre around their interest in Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey and Lyon’s Houssem Aouar.

It is believed that the Gunners will only be able to find funds to sign one of them before deadline day and, although they are different types of player, we thought it would be interesting to compare and contrast their key attributes.

Partey is certainly more of a midfield enforcer, while Aouar is more technically gifted, but there were some surprises when we looked at their stats from last season.
