Arsenal right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu could be out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.
The Japanese international was pictured on crutches after the game against Sporting Lisbon last week and, while there has been no confirmation about when he could return, the signs are not good.
Tomiyasu has suffered with fitness problems since he arrived from Bologna in the summer of 201 and fans on Twitter have been debating whether the club should cut their losses on the defender:
Partey had injury issues as well but now heโs adapted hopefully itโs the same for tomiyasu

Should be sold in my opinion. He's likeable but very unreliable. Availability leads to reliability.

Dumfries in June should be it imo

Sounds harsh but might have to sell him this summer

Genuinely feel bad for him, such a bad spate of injuries

Stay fit for 3 games in a row challenge – impossible.

It’s a difficult situation. Tomiyasu is still only 24 years of age and there is every chance that his injury record could improve in the future as he gets older.
However, the Gunners would be taking a risk by keeping him. The fullback will have two years remaining on his contract this summer and, if he has another campaign blighted by injuries, his value would nosedive. We shall see what decision the club makes.
