Ozil Reiterates Future With Arsenal

Mesut Ozil has reiterated his commitment to Arsenal after rumours emerged of the midfielder playing his last match for the club after sustaining a heavy injury, and has suggested that he will return soon to play for the London based outfit, according to Metro.

Arsene Wenger will be hoping the international break does not get the better of his first team players, as several players from the club are representing their national teams. The Gunners face Hull City at the Emirates Stadium in the Barclays Premier League and Wenger will be keen on getting a win on the board due to their poor position in the table. The Community Shield winners are in 7th place, and need a string of wins to catch up with the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea.

Ozil was bought by Wenger for a fee of £42.5 million in 2013 from Real Madrid after a controversial spell at the Santiago Bernabeu, and the playmaker began the season firing on all cylinders, but lost his touch midway through the campaign. The German international then sustained a hamstring injury to keep him out for a month. This came as bad news for both the German national side and Arsenal, but the former Werder Bremen player recovered and was part of the side that won the World Cup in Brazil. The 25-year old has played 31 league matches for the club, scoring 6 goals i the process.
