Owen Predicts The Outcome As Arsenal Face Wolves

Michael Owen is predicting a tight game when Arsenal travel to Wolves this evening, with the BT Sport pundit expecting the two sides to share the spoils.

Although the Gunners have been in better form than their opponents recently, Owen thinks Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo will use similar tactics to those that got his side the victory earlier on in the season:

“Mikel Arteta will be a happy man as his side are now undefeated in seven Premier League matches and have conceded only twice in those fixtures. Wolves arrive here amid a patchy run; however, I can’t help casting my mind back to their terrific performance at the Emirates earlier in the season. If they deploy similar tactics here, I think they could have some joy on the counter-attack. This could be a cagey affair, so I’m siding with the draw.”

Owen has gone with a 1-1 draw, which is a reasonable prediction if you take into account that the two sides are generally pretty well matched. However, if you look at Wolves results’ at Molineux this campaign, you could argue that Arsenal have a great chance of getting the three points.

The home side have won just three of their 10 games on their own patch, drawing three and losing four. Matches are generally won by a one-goal margin, though, so Owen is correct to predict that this will be a difficult game for Mikel Arteta’s side.
