Bayer Leverkusen would much rather sell winger Leon Bailey to an English club like Arsenal than to their rivals Bayern Munich, according to reports in the UK.

The Jamaican has been heavily linked with an £85m move to Chelsea in recent days, but it appears the Gunners are also keeping close tabs on the player. Supporters on Twitter would love to see the 22-year-old playing at the Emirates:

Gunners head coach Mikel Arteta is believed to be keen on signing another wide forward, with Wolves’ Diogo Jota having also been mentioned as a possible target in the past couple of weeks.

Bailey’s price tag would probably prove prohibitive and it’s more than likely that any interest in the Bundesliga ace would only be followed up if Arsenal qualified for the Champions League.

With the season remaining in limbo due to the Coronavirus break, it means any bid for the winger is some way off at the moment.
