Ospina Close To Losing Main Competitor

Wojciech Szczesny will be leaving Arsenal this summer apparently, after Inter decided to let their main man Sami Handanovic go. According to Metro, the Italians are very interested in giving the Polish keeper a chance to prove his reliability and become a team regular. Wenger and Szczesny have not been on the same page for a while now, with the keeper getting into some trouble and also failing to make Arsenal’s defense feel safe when needed. There were a lot of rumors that suggested the Gunner’s father was speaking in a negative tone about Wenger and Arsenal and there were also a lot of rumors regarding his desire to leave the Emirates. It might just be a matter of time until he parts ways with the North Londoners if rumours are to be believed.

Currently under contract until 2018, Szczesny would have probably left last summer if Arsenal hadn’t had problems finding a viable alternative. Ospina turned out to be a great choice though and is now number one after dealing with an injury that kept him off the pitch for 15 games. Since recovering back in January, Szczesny has been a substitute which could make him to agree on joining Inter. There is a very big chance that the Polish international will be managed by Mancini next year, who does not have too many options when it comes to signing a top class replacement for Handanovic.
