Ornstein Rules Out Move For Chelsea Star But There Could Be A ‘Late Twist’

Arsenal are unlikely to sign Chelsea midfielder Jorginho before the transfer window shuts this evening, according to The Athletic‘s David Ornstein.

The Blues are unwilling to strengthen a rival but there could still be a small possibility of a move happening if there is a late development in Frank Lampard side’s attempts to sign Declan Rice from West Ham:

A lot can happen on deadline day but, as things stand, the only activity at the Emirates is likely to be outgoings, with Lucas Torreira’s move to Atletico Madrid on loan, and Sead Kolasinac’s permanent switch to Bayer Leverkusen, both still being worked on.

It is thought that Torreira’s switch to Atletico is dependent on the La Liga side offloading another player, while Kolasinac’s departure is being held up with some reports suggesting the move is on the brink of collapse.

Hopefully, there will be some more positive news on incoming transfers as the day goes on.
