Ornstein Reveals Arsenal’s Transfer Stance On Fullback Who Reportedly ‘Wants To Change Clubs’

The Athletic journalist David Ornstein has confirmed that Arsenal “want” Hector Bellerin to stay at the Emirates beyond the end of the season.

A report in Germany last week suggested that the Spaniard “wants to change clubs” but it appears the Gunners won’t be looking to offload the fullback this summer.

Bellerin has started the vast majority of manager Mikel Arteta’s games in charge of Arsenal and he looks to have a key role to play in the London club’s future.

However, Ornstein did not clarify whether the 25-year-old is keen on leaving the Emirates, only the fact that the Gunners will not be looking to sell him.

Bellerin has been at the club since moving from Barcelona’s youth academy in 2011. He has made 203 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal over the past nine years.

He has had his setbacks along the way, most notably the ACL injury he sustained last season, but he is showing signs of getting back to his best form.
